The Blam - Various Disgraces

Apparently this is Blam, but it may not be the Blam we're writing about.

If you were in charge of the café disco at the office, what songs would you put on the mix CD? Michael Scott starts with iconic party hits like “Car Wash”, “Putting Out Fire” and “Everybody Dance Now” but like any good party mix, he throws in some hidden gems, including “Various Disgraces” by short-lived indie rock band The Blam. Once again Michael shows us that, despite his overabundant shortcomings, he occasionally gets it right.

If you saw The Office the other night, it's the song that Dwight said is “fantastic!”

Was so psyched to hear it! Once of the greatest little bands to come out of the early 2000's...

What would also be fantastic is if you put something in your search tags so that anyone searching for the name of that myseterious, wonderful song from the "cafe disco" episode would be directed to your page...right now when you google the only decipherable lyrics you get no good results - save some wonderful soul who posted it as a question on Yahoo Answers and was answered with the correct band and song title - that's how I finally found ya. =)

The Blam's website doesn't have any photos and Google turned up nothing, which is why I used the photo that I did. There's already a link to their website in my post.

The blam used to correspond via the email on their site. Anyways, its a shame they're no longer together as a band.

Check out:

"Easy To Be Good"
or
"Little Pricks"

just my 2 fav's other than various disgraces.

I think they had the song "brooklyn on my mind" on some racing videogame for the playstation 2.

anyways,

glad to see someone else knows of them
