Gianfranco Reverberi - Nel Cimitero Di Tucson
Another scorching hot Sunday afternoon. Here's a dusty old recording from a late-60s spaghetti western soundtrack, from the cult classic Django series. Theme from Preparati La Bara!, the track has a tragic tone with a sullen bassline accompanied by dreary strings and horns.
They're not as well known as Morricone, but between Gianfranco Reverberi and his brother Gian Piero, the duo composed for some of the best of 60s and 70s Italian cinema.
This song contains a clip that you'll all recognise, as it was sampled in what is one of the biggest international hit songs in recent years.
