Jeff Hanson, 1978-2009Jeff Hanson, folk singer/songwriter and the first artist signed to prominent indie label Kill Rock Stars, died on Friday, victim of a tragic accident in his home. Before hearing the news, I had not heard his music but it caught my attention immediately. His incomparable style of twangly instrumentation with his peculiar soprano voice will continue to astonish fans and newcomers alike for the rest of his regrettably posthumous career.
