VISITOR - Los Feeling + Remix Contest

I have no idea where these mysterious beings came from, but I hope we hear more from them in the near future. They call themselves VISITOR and with one unpolished gem they have me hypnotised. This is exactly the type of sound that excites me more than any other.

Sneaky Sound System - It's Not My Problem (Thin White Duke Remix)

Australian electro dance group Sneaky Sound System have been topping charts in their home country and are about to embark on their North American tour debut. Their 80s electropop sound is gradually turned towards electro house in this epic remix by the endlessly stunning talent of Stuart Price aka Thin White Duke.

IFPI had the download links and this entire article removed, on behalf of a record label that does not own the copyrights to this song. The actual owner, Whack Recordings, has since informed me that this remix is OK to share, so this is a repost of the article and the download link is back online.

UPDATE: The IFPI has had this article removed again so, for fear of losing my Blogger account, I've omitted the download link this time.
The download link above will take you to an Elbows search for the song on other blogs. I must emphasize though, that Thin White Duke's remix of “It's Not My Problem” by Sneaky Sound System is cleared for bloggers to upload, according to Whack Recordings.

Freemasons - Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer)

UK house duo Freemasons, after two years of refining dance music with their original songs and countless remixes, are set to release their sophomore album Shakedown 2. The cleverly-titled followup to their debut Shakedown is a massive two-disc mix of original songs and remixes featuring the likes of Jamiroquai, Moby, Justice, Calvin Harris and many others.

The lead single is “Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer)” featuring the English pop singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Freemasons show off their remarkable ability to entrance the listener for over 9 minutes, while Sophie flaunts her flawless voice, carried by strings and a beat that never tires.

The album releases June 29 and the single the week before.

Planet Funk - Lemonade

Italian house group Planet Funk have given us a refreshing beverage to cool our already flourishing sweaty summer playlist. “Lemonade” drips sweet funk all over an icy beat that is as addictive as the song's namesake.

The track is from their new greatest hits album, released last month. However, it already appears that it may be out of print, as it's no longer available at any popular online shops, so here are the original version and the remix by the world-famous Benny Benassi.

Marie Serneholt - Disconnect Me

Marie Serneholt, formerly of Swedish boy/girl group A*Teens, started her solo career in 2006 and last month performed “Disconnect Me” in Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national song competition to determine who will represent the country in Eurovision 2009. The electro beats and not surprisingly, a few orchestra stabs reminiscent of Scandinavian symphonic metal, transform a generic pop song into a magnificently consuming arrangement.

This is the second Melodifestivalen artist I've posted—the first was Rigo & the Topaz Sound—so I'd like to emphasize once again that one should not compare Melodifestivalen and Eurovision to their less talented and less creative American counterparts.

SOUNDS LIKE La Roux, Lily Allen, Robyn
